What exactly is the MAT Exam?
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses. The exam is conducted in four phases – February, May, September, and December, multiple times a year.
The MAT exam is conducted in three modes: offline (PBT or Paper Based Test), online (CBT or Computer Based Test), and remotely proctored (IBT or Internet Based Test). Candidates may take the exam in whatever mode they prefer. The fees, exam pattern, and syllabus are the same for all three modes, but the download of admit cards and exam dates differ.

Criteria for MAT Eligibility
The following are the basic eligibility requirements for the MAT exam:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree n any discipline or its equivalent from a recognised university.
Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.
Candidates with professional degrees, such as CA, CS, or ICWA, may also apply for the MAT exam.
