CAT

JCC Educational Services provides the best coaching for the CAT and other MBA entrance exams. It’s a one-stop shop for getting into top business schools. The course provided by JCC prepares you for the written exam as well as the subsequent stages of Group Discussions, Written Ability Tests (WAT/Essays), and Personal or Group Interviews. JCC’s CAT training programme is specifically designed to prepare you for the CAT as well as other entrance exams such as XAT, SNAP, NMAT, MAT, IIFT, and others. JCC offers separate courses for students who want to prepare only for the CETs in states where there are state-specific CETs.

JCC’s Training Methodology

Concepts of Training:

Assists you in developing the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for the CAT and other management entrance exams. The fundamental concepts are taught in depth. Aside from the regular chalk and board teaching, each session includes a discussion on handout papers and the “Study Material booklets.” This exposes students to a wide range of problems and aids in the development of conceptual clarity at the root level. Non-mathematics students are also given extra help to improve their quantitative skills.

Aside from that, sessions such as B-School counselling, test-taking strategies seminars, Achievers’ Meet, and so on are held to assist and motivate students.

Section-wise Testing:

This module assists you in achieving thoroughness in individual test areas. They include over 5000 questions in the areas of Verbal, Logical Reasoning, DI, and Quantitative Ability. Every month, a set number of tests are given with the requirement that you complete them as soon as they are given. The tests are classified as follows:

Foundation tests are usually focused on a single topic. Students who want more practise on a specific topic can write these tests and then receive a detailed performance analysis.
Intermediate tests are created by combining multiple topics from a broader common area, such as time and distance, time and work, percentages, and so on, from the subject of Arithmetic, to test the student’s understanding of this. This is followed by another detailed performance analysis.
Advanced tests: These are full-fledged tests in which the questions can come from any subject. These are timed tests, just like the CAT sections.

Comprehensive Testing:

You will be tested and evaluated using a large number of test papers designed in line with CAT papers. This will assist you in identifying your CAT test strengths and areas for improvement.
These tests are replicas of previous exams and are made available to students on a timely basis.
Preparation for Other Exams: Our CAT Course also prepares you for other management entrance exams such as XAT, SNAP, IIFT, NMAT, and MAT, which are held by various B-schools across the country. Specific institute classes and approximately 34 tests (OMETs – Other Management Entrance Tests) fully prepare you to excel in these exams as well.

Workshops/special sessions on specific topics such as Decision Making, Higher Mathematics, and so on, which are part of some OMETs, are also held to assist students.

Essay, Group discussion, and Interview preparation: This is offered in two modules to assist you in preparing for the final stage of the selection process.

Module I: This consists of foundation and practise sessions, as well as individual and group feedback.

Module II: Extensive practise sessions for students shortlisted for the GWPI round of B-school selection, including mock interviews and a series of GK lectures. This greatly aids students’ understanding of the process, particularly from those who have previously gone through it. Faculty members provide detailed feedback to assist you in optimising your admission prospects.
