
NMAT
The NMAT (Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) for admission into MBA and other management programs in various business schools in India and globally. The exam is most notably associated with NMIMS University (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), but it is accepted by a wide range of other institutions as well.
NMAT by GMAC 2024 Exam Review (5 November – 20 December)
The NMAT by GMAC 2024 exam is being conducted smoothly, with no significant technical issues reported by candidates. Based on student feedback, the exam appears to follow the expected structure, with some important details to note for anyone preparing for the test.
Exam Pattern
The NMAT 2024 follows the standard structure as in previous years, consisting of three sections:
- Language Skills (LS)
- Number of Questions: 36
- Time Allotted: 28 minutes
Question Types: Verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary.
- Quantitative Skills (QS)
- Number of Questions: 36
- Time Allotted: 52 minutes
Question Types: Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, and problem-solving.
- Logical Reasoning (LR)
- Number of Questions: 36
- Time Allotted: 40 minutes
Question Types: Logical puzzles, sequences, analogies, critical reasoning, and data sufficiency.
Each question in the exam had five answer options, and it is mandatory to attempt every question. If a test taker fails to answer any questions—either due to time constraints or spending too much time on a few items—a penalty will be applied.
NMIMS 2023 NMAT Cutoffs (Overall)- NMIMS Mumbai (MBA Core)
- Overall NMAT Score: Around 210-220
This is generally considered the cutoff for the flagship MBA program in Mumbai. Some variations can happen based on the number of applicants and the overall performance that year.

Sectional cutoffs were also applicable in previous years. It is anticipated that the cutoffs this year will be similar to those of last year.
